AAP Leader Sanjay Singh to Lead “Rozgaar Do, Samajik Nyay Do” March from Saryu to Sangam on November 12

Unemployment, Social Discrimination Take Centre Stage in AAP’s Uttar Pradesh Campaign

Lucknow: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh  announced that the much-anticipated “Rozgaar Do, Samajik Nyay Do” (Give Employment, Give Social Justice) march will begin on November 12 from the banks of Saryu in Ayodhya and conclude on November 24 at Sangam in Prayagraj. Addressing a press conference at the party office in Lucknow, Singh said the march would evolve into a people’s movement against two of Uttar Pradesh’s gravest issues — unemployment and social injustice.

To mark the occasion, AAP released a theme song titled “Main Desh Bachane Nikla Hoon”, sung by noted singer Altamash Faridi and penned by acclaimed poet Bilal Bhai. Singh said the song reflects the “pain and determination of Uttar Pradesh’s youth and common people” and aims to inspire them to raise their voice for their rights.

Uttar Pradesh has become the state with the highest number of unemployed people in India,” Singh remarked. He said not only are government jobs scarce, but farmers, weavers, and small-scale industries are also facing an existential crisis due to lack of income and economic instability. “Farmers are not getting fair prices for their crops, people die standing in queues for fertilizers, and many are forced to commit suicide under the burden of debt,” he added.

Singh also highlighted the plight of contractual workers and educators, including ASHA and Anganwadi workers, shiksha mitras, and anudeshaks, who are still awaiting regularization. Referring to alleged irregularities in the teacher recruitment and reservation system, he said that the education sector too is marred by inequality and corruption.

Turning to the issue of social injustice, Singh said Uttar Pradesh remains among the top states in incidents of caste-based discrimination. “Even today, Dalits are discriminated against in temples, weddings, and public places. Manipulation in reservation lists is rampant, and from police stations to tehsils, there seems to be no door open for justice,” he alleged.

Calling the march a “fight for people’s rights, not a political event,” Sanjay Singh appealed to citizens to join the movement. “If you are suffering from unemployment and injustice, come forward between November 12 and 24—we will walk together, from Saryu to Sangam,” he urged.

AAP expects a large turnout of youth, farmers, teachers, and citizens from all sections of society along the route. Singh said the march would also serve as a platform to engage with people on issues concerning education, healthcare, employment, and social justice, backed by on-ground data and field observations from across the state.

With this initiative, AAP aims to amplify the voices of those left unheard and bring Uttar Pradesh’s deep-rooted issues of unemployment and discrimination to the national spotlight.
